Why the country matters
Clipping came over from the United States, and most platforms were built there. You notice it when you want your first payout: payment in dollars, an exchange rate you did not choose, transfer fees, and support in another time zone.
The same applies on the brand side. An invoice without Dutch VAT is a problem for your bookkeeping, and paying by iDEAL is far from universally supported.
What to look for when choosing
Whichever platform you pick, these are the questions worth asking up front. For most of them the answer is somewhere in the terms.
- How are views counted? Directly at the platform, or from what the clipper reports?
- Is there a minimum amount before you can withdraw, and how high is it?
- How often is there a settlement? Daily, weekly or monthly?
- In which currency, and who pays the exchange difference and the transfer fees?
- Is there a cap on what one clip can earn, so budget is left for others?
- Is the campaign budget a hard ceiling, so a brand never pays more than it set aside?
- In which language are the terms, and under which law?
How it works here
For completeness, the same questions with our answers.
- Views are measured directly at TikTok or YouTube, through the connection the clipper makes. We never ask a clipper how many views they had.
- No minimum amount. You can withdraw once every seven days.
- A settlement round every night, so your earnings are in your wallet the next morning.
- Euros, to a Dutch bank account. No exchange difference.
- A cap per clip of a quarter of the clipper share, between € 25 and € 2,500.
- The campaign budget is a hard ceiling. Whatever clippers do not spend goes back to the brand.
- Dutch terms, and a contractor agreement you can read before you join.
What we do not do
Some things we deliberately do not offer. Naming them is fairer than leaving them out.
- No paid priority. You never pay us anything to take part.
- No guarantee your clip is approved. Every clip is reviewed against the campaign guidelines.
- No promise about what you will earn. That depends on your views.
- TikTok and YouTube only for now. Other platforms are ready in the code but stay off until the connection really works.
